my vtr 1000 is back on the road after 7 months

. its a good feeling being back out the roads just in time for the summer im loving it but everytime i go out on it i keep thinking its going to break down again bloody cct's they have been replaced by manual 1's off rider on a storm. does anyone else have that feeling in the back of there mind?

Not once you have manuals fitted.
Nothing left to worry about except the R/R

Regulator/rectifier.
it's under the seat plastics, RH side.
If it fails, (and they do sometimes) it can and probably will cook the battery, leading to loss of ignition, possible ignition module/speedo damage, and at worst, boiling battery acid coming out of the battery.
Search for info in the workshop section.
Cheap and easy fix, though, for peace of mind fit a Yamaha R or R6 one (needs converting the wiring).
Or fit a voltmeter, such as the combined gear indicator/voltmeter made by Acumen.
Then you can see any problem before it leaves you stranded or damages the battery too much.
