Just wondered how many on here had plates in their collar bones and if so how they did it

I got plate and 5 screws in mine with a bit of bone from my hip to bridge the gap. Did it practicing for an Enduro bout 8 years ago clashed with another bike whilst in mid air on a table top

Took me bout a year to recover but guess thats due to me being an old bugger

Now i'm more 50p corner merchant (well not quite that bad) :D

did mine playing rugby lol, dove into the post like a hero!
few years later smashed my big toe socket in a similar incident, booted the post playing 5 footy
sport is dangerous, that's why i gave up, but in true peltzmanite fashion i replaced the risk with riding on the road

haven't got a plate in mine but i snapped my collar bone whilst going for my black judo belt, i was 15 and about 7 stone and they put me against a girl who was about 7ft tall and 20 stone (ok maybe 6ft tall and 12 stone) she threw me all over the place but i managed to get her in a hold and she submitted. found out weeks later after suffering that it had snapped they offered to re break it and set it right but i declined due to being a wuss  now got a near 90 degree angle in it where the bone sticks out

I've still got a dislocated one after my 50mph bounce following my incident with the uninsured lithuainian woman.
9 months physio and it still hurts!!! 5 years on.

Not got a plate in mine either but fell off a d1 bantam at literally 3mph on wet grass. Was being a right idiot so it served me right! Found out a month or so later when I moved to Coventry and couldn't sleep properly on my left hand side!

Fell off mountain bike broke coller bone but not plated, uncomfortable to sleep on that side. Fell off racing bike dislocated other shoulder, uncomfortable sleeping on that side. Bicep tendon re-attatched after skiing holiday last year, more discomfort
