Looks good that. I personally like the rad shrouds. Gives it more of an old school look.

love the Joey paint job, and all of the technical changes [front forks, cans, oil cooler and the cockpit etc], still not sure on the fairing lowers though.

I like the collection of bikes, looks like you collect big naked jap bikes..........you need a kwack to complete the collection

hi sorry for the late reply , the frontend is an 04/05 blade , it had been fitted to a 97 blade , so it did go straight over , but i cant remember whether the stem was 97 blade or the origonal 1000rr one , at the very most you would need the stem changed , it works very well  its a massive improvement , the only critisism id have would be that it was a little giddy until i fitted the damper ,

ive just done a bit of work on the chassis , i copied a load of geomerty information from various bikes
the wheelbase with the rear wheel now very far forward and new front end is 1400mm
the trail with the new frontend offset is 96mm
and the steering angle is as damn close to 23,5 degrees , as can be ,
the weight is 200kg with just less than a half tank
105 front 95 rear
116 bhp 70 ftlbs from 5-8500

the chassis figures are dame close to 929 954 / 1000rr territory , admittidly with a higher c of g

after the geomertry work , refreshed the forkoil , and set the bike up for sag etc ,

im fairly injured but track day on monday wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooooo

well to the engine builder , hats off man its still a peach , and has an owner that appreciates it ,

i now CANNOT fault the chassis ,

its one serious bike ,

i had a small bikeshop , ive driven lots of bikes admittidly usually around the six or seven year old mark (hence the modified bikes) this is a very different beast :biggrin most people dont see past the roundy headlight or yella sidepods , or .... etc..etc

its all because i think the storm motor is a beauty to use , but am not a fan of the look or the handling

im delighted with the result

I love your bike! I am very impressed with the design and updated look. I am assuming that the shrouds are the stock units and you cut them down. Is that correct?

I have been trying to think of what to do to my bike as I plan for its streetfighter transformation. I need to keep the dual radiators because of the often slow traffic in San Francisco. And I don't like the look of the radiators exposed on the sides. Your idea looks ideal.

Cheers on a well thought modification.

Miguel
