I would just like to start by saying hello to everyone ! and to introduce myself to this forum.
My name is Jay and i have just bought myself a 98 - firestorm ( what a great bit of kit !)
I live in a sleepy little town in darkest Essex, Burnham-on-Crouch. which has the best 11 bends in a mile and a half stretch of road.
COME DOWN AND TRY THEM ! Absolutly perfect for the thumpy v- twin !

Hello back from everyone.
That sound like a plan, bring those bends to Kent and I'll ride them.
Actually we did have a rideout there a year or so back, the Essex contingent turned out and I joined in from Kent.

Hello mate and welcome to the forum. I know the road you mean and will be down there on Friday. Unfortunately I will be in the car, having dropped off my swingarm and some other bits for powder coat at Maldon powdercoat.
Have fun reading through the posts on here and make sure the bike is fit for purpose. Good luck,

My previous was a KLR 650, Africa Twin, Gsxr 750 and recently Fz 6.
None of them quite hit the spot that the Firestorm does.
Whats your previous ?

Strapline on your post:
In the land of the blind- the one eyed man is king.
Maybe so, but in the land of the blind drunk, the one-eyed trouser snake is king- never been to a grab-a granny night?

there are not too many of us essex to round up for a ride, I think becuse of the noise we would make as a group.
Have you ever been to gt Bentley on a wednesday night.
also there is the * ball diner just opened on the A12 Colchester bound, they have regular bike meets, if your up for it one night, meet you in Maldon and have a ride down..

It looks like you had a very good day out !
There is some lovely bits of road on the way to Mersea. Did you visit the company shed ? some of the best sea food you can get!

I think some chickened out from eating 'Klingon' food! - instead we had a traditional Sunday roast at the Victory
Mersea Rd is my hunting ground as I live along it! though nothing to the bendy Burnham Bends!!! Keep in touch on the boards as I'm sure we'll arrange another Summer tour round the vicininty.
