Well it looks like this bit of harmless fun, with both parties giving as good as they got and deploying some cunning uses of forum tools by both admin and user, has all ended badly!

I have always been proud of the way this forum has conducted itself in the past, and the genuine nature of most people on here, and the good nature of the piss taking banter we all get involved in, but in this case I am not sure.
Given that I don't know all the facts, I will not sit in in judgment, but from where I sit this was just a very funny exchange of banter which I was more than happy to keep stirring for all our amusement, it was not personal, nor was it homophobic.

I am intentionally limiting what I say here as I am not taking sides (as i said, i dont know all the facts) but i am looking for positive outcome, not a forum argument.

Bridges need to be mended........please

Obviously what he said is supposed to be a dig at the folks who run the forum, but those same folks violated his account and implied that he was gay by changing his avatar. Dont see how anyone would have been more offended by that, than by the changing of his avatar. I think the only difference here is that one side has a ban button and the other side doesn't.

Draw a line under it and say as little as possible, That is where I was heading.

if we start the whole "who did what, who said what" debate, we will all end up taking sides, and won't do the forum much good.

So only question is when is the ban lifted, I assume today / tomorrow?
