Blackpool

I have not been to Blackpool for a good few years now and was thinking about staying for couple of nights later this month.
The Mrs has never been but we quite fancy doing the pleasure beach for an afternoon and building sand castles and stuff.
Anybody been recently?
Anybody got a recommendation of a good B&B?
Is the place a shithole?

blackpool is the benidorm of the north and a cracking night out... even better for a weekender, but why are you taking the mrs???? it's rammed with easy muff lol!

I was there for a site meeting and a handover meeting a few months ago.
I hate the place. I would describe it as dirty, common and full of knob heads. Seriously, it's full of hen do and stag nights, pissed out of their eyeballs.
If you go stand around near the town centre during the day, you will end up very depressed when you see the state of most of the locals, out drinking as soon as the pubs will serve them with their young kids in tow. The kids that are old enough are wearing hoodies and will happily spit on you, mug you or tell you to fcuk off just for being on their side of the road.
