What a t*t I am.

Post by vtryorks »

I had Mod 2 today.

Weather looked like it would rain, so right before we left the training ground, I changed into waterproof trousers. Put my documents in my jacket and off we went. Got to test center following what the instructor described as a flawless mini mock test. After about 5 minutes, I realised....OH NOOOOOOOO my photo licence is on top of my bag at the training ground because I switched trousers!!!!!!

Instructor races off to get it, he arrives back 2 minutes too late and they refused to let me take the test, because of 2 minutes!!!!

The worst part....the next slot for a test was free but they wouldn't give it to me and the examiner refused to wait just 2 minutes for my licence to arrive even when I had all the other documents. Would have been a total delay of 7 minutes, they apparently allow 5 minutes grace. Obviously its my fault entirely, but still, I thought it was incredibly harsh. So as it was, I lost £150, the next test slot was spent with the examiner having his feet up, the other two guys waiting and me eating a bacon butty.

I felt so stupid, I had every other bit of paper but my photocard lives in my wallet and i cant ride with my wallet in my jeans because it falls out. I even considered slipping it inside my jacket but because it was going to raid it would have got soaked as the pocket is where the jacket leaks! So I had put it aside and meant to pick it up and give it to the instructor but didnt.

£150 down the toilet for absolutely nothing. Now I have to pay another £150 to redo it, £75 test fee, £75 for bike and instructor. Grrrr.

I was confident and calm, I'd definitely have passed. The other two guys with me both passed. I just want to scream. I've had to rebook but its like having a 2nd attempt and i never even got to set off.

Basically the whole thing was caused because the weather couldnt decide what it was doing and I had to switch gear at the last minute!!!!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

sorry to hear what happened buddy, the examiner sounds like a bit of a jobs worth to me, you have to forget about it and chillout, don't let it affect you, we all make rock ups in life thats only human, i once travelled an hour to my local airport for a flight to europe only to forget my suitcase which had everything in it, it cost me more than £150 and 3 days of my holiday.....doh!
it just goes to show it can happen to the best of us, chin up buddy............... :)

Is it possible to lodge a complaint at all? May be worth trying
It'll all be OK in the end and if its not OK then its not the end

and in the ranks of jobsworths, examiners have got to be somewhere up there with traffic wardens, wheelclampers and health & safety officers....

smile & wave m8.... :x

when i had my driving test the juggler wasnt going to sit in the car because it didnt have rear seat belts.....
he was sitting in the passenger seat ffs.
then wanted to cancel it cos a gas van had blocked me in.
then tried to get me to turn up a one way street....

part of their thing is, imo to put you under pressure of some sort to see how you react, whether you're a road rager or summat.
my mate failed his bike test twice for that reason... absolutely nothing wrong with his riding but ended up passing his 3rd time (back in the day when it was just a single test)

good luck next time!!!
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Damn shame. As above have all said. You'll get it next time. Just make sure you remember all your documents and peices of plastic!

I'll also add that the test centre, even though within their rights, were a bit cnuttish and it is a little harsh.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.
