newb from lincoln

hello fellow vtr riders,
im a complete newb to this site and also a complete newb to the world of v twin,i have to say im loving every thing about it,
i passed my bike test last july and have had a zx9r (gorgeous :-p) from then till last saturday,i did a staight swap and must admit she needs some time and love spending on her,which i am more than willing to do,if i can get it to look like my very dear freinds storm then ill be a very happy man,
im from lincoln and beleive we are truly blessed with the roads we run on a wednesday evening,they are awesome,im a regular at willingham woods and have seen some very nice minty storms there,one i was taking photos of one only last wed evening!! (red and white hydrex colours,very nice indeed ).
i cant wait to chat with you guys and gals on here and get some hints tips and advise on how to best love the savage beast! :-)

Was at the Woods last Wednesday myself and so was Hondo (the guy who owns the bike you were talking about). Where abouts in Lincoln are you from? Seems as tho there are a few of us in the Lincs area now :thumbup: I'm from Lincoln myself.

im from burton road in lincoln,yeah i saw quite a few storms at willy woods,im going there again tommorrow so hopefully u all will be there so we can and have a chat and introduce myself :thumbup: im will be taking my wife on the storm for the first time :shifty: lol,lets see what she thinks of it....
i have been browsing the site and have to say its pretty impressive,shed loads of information,given me a few ideas 8)
im taking the storm to silverstone on friday to watch wsb for 3 days! happy days,really looking forward to it,
ill keep an eye out for the storms at the woods tommorrow,

welcome to the club.

have a good read in the workshop section on the key fixes for reliability and how to get it to handle and stop better. If you are lucky you will already have a few of these mods on your bike, but you will need to find out.

Well unfortunately I won't be there tonight as I'm looking after my lad whilst the misses goes out. Selfish cow, she know's I've been building the chuffing thing for long enuff and then goes out on Woods night lol

It looks a bit dull here at the min tho so I hope the rain holds off on you for the night (or pisses it down cause I can't get out on mine tonight lol :twisted: )

oh no thats just not taking one for the team! lol,
i hope it doesnt rain,there is a load of us going to the coast after the woods,one of our group is on holiday and we are winding her up about the bike night being an epic one and she is gonna miss it! :-D lots of beach n bike photos going on her f/b me thinks!! :twisted:
thanku for the tip on the workshop section,ill have looky later tonight,and i dont think my bike has any mods,apart from heated grips and loud cans,it just hasnt been loved very much :-( but hey,itll be a pure pleasure to put time and effort into it

Yeah, welcome mate. I own the Hydrex one. Saw a chap taking pics of my bike and was going to charge him a fiver for the priveldge. :lol: :D :beer:

There were a few storms about but never got to meet any storm riders because I was sitting on the grass bank having a drink and a natter with some other guys.

I go to Willingham via the best roads in Lincolnshire (Lincs TT, we call it Quiet, fast and twisty. :twisted:
) every Wednesday night and Saturdays/Sundays.

We will have to arrange a Storm gathering at the Woods.

Doing a trackday at Cadwell on the 3rd August too. And the RAF Waddington Airfield trackday on the 13th August. Can't wait. :thumbup:

yeah it was me taking pics mate,couldnt beleive how different the firestorm looked with that awesome paint job! looks ace.
mine was the black one near yours with red decals,sounds really loud! :twisted:
hey the firestorm meet sounds good,ill keep looking on here to see if anything is arranged,will defo take part in that :D
hopefully see ya at the woods soon mate and will be good ta have a blast with ya,

oh and good luck with the track day buddy,im hoping to do one myself soon,will have to save though just been to silverstone for 3 days watching wsb,man that place is f******g expensive!! :( but awesome non the less.
