Hello
just wanted to say hi as I've recently picked up a '97 Firestorm
still finding my way on it....mostly to see if I like it
any tips etc - seems smooth to accelerate and very solid suspension! (previous was a KTM)

Re: Hi
hi buddy
just the usual things, make sure your cct's are manuals and your reg/rec has finns.
as for the suspension it's a well known fact that the fronts to soft and the rears to hard, but you can put heavy oil in the forks and respring the rear shock to match your weight.
another cheap fix is to put a 5mm spacer on your rear shock, this makes the steering alot sharper than normal.....
good luck with it buddy

Re: Hi
Nah, it's a yellow one!
I only recently got it in a p/x deal
I'm thinking the acceleration is a bit too smooth - guess I'm too used to the silly aggressive KTM
I'd read the front was too soft, but I haven't found it that way at all - possibly already sorted out
I'm sort of being tempted by a supermoto though - part of me thinks don't start liking another 100+ machine, lol
Had a gsxr 750 and that was too easy to hit big numbers on!
