hello everyone, not sure were to start.....errrrrm well after convincing me missus to let me have a bike after breaking both me arms in a motox accident last year! I sat on ebay for days reveiwing bikes I new i wanted a v2 cos i h8 my neighbours  i got the list down to the tlr, millie or the VTR, long story short I am now the proud owner of a red storm with high level Akrapovic cans, full fairing thingy ,heated grips, double bubble screen and all the rear rear lights and all indicators changed for modern led ones etc .the bike is mint!!! and compared to a standard storm it looks and sounds the blx me thinks it allso has full service history consisting of receipts for manual cct's, new valves and oil in front forks hid chain n sproket with a tooth down on front, an brand new tyres all fitted in last 6 mnths so im a happy chap. I have my mod 2 tomorrow so if i pass (wen i pass!!!) ill be taking my maiden voyage on francis (bike lol). Any way thats my story and i hope to chat to u all on here soon any heads up on common probs etc or handling issues im a dcent mechanic and would love the excuse to dive in and have a play lol. ill post some pics up wen i figure out were i post em

Welcome to here. Can I ask a favour though.

Press that caps lock button and leave the fkin thing off.

Good luck with mod 2 and go easy on the Storm. She'll be a lot different than the bike your doing your test on.

hi sorry i edited it the caps button was on from b4 an i jus didn bother, yeah the bike im doin me test on is some 500 cc tank with no grunt but it got me through me mod 1 i used to race a crf450 and i loved the torque of the 4 stroke compared to the 2 stroke which is why i went for a v2 cos i prefer low down grunt instead of high revin stuff any way thanks for the reply

Much better.

You'll find the torque on the Storm is much better than the off roader. Just be careful with her. She's deceptively fast and she will take your license in no time if your not careful. Although you will find the bike a hoot to ride.

What she lacks in top end speed against the Inline 4's and race twins she more than makes up for in character. You'll soon come to terms with the little pops, burps and farts as she trundles along the road and if she goes tits up theres plenty of people on here that will help you fix her again.

Welcome to the club, hope the arms are working now, as the storm loads them up as well.

Enjoy the bike in what's left of the summer and then start planning the mods for the winter

Good to have you back on bikes, welcome.

Hope your pass works out, and you get to ride it.

Much more fun than polishing.

Sounds like everything needing doing has been done

There is nothing wrong with polishing, I caught you doing it last time, maybe one of those freak occasions, but none the less you had cloth in hand.

That wasn't polishing, that was wiping chain lube off stuff.

Don't you tell no-one, now.....
