As the title says. Going in October and wanted to know if anyone has ever been?????? Any heads up places, hotels etc.

lots of statues of blokes with their knobs out and lots of queues of people looking at them!
very cultural but very interesting for a day out.

Went about 20 years ago so cant give ideas on hotels. however if you are into art, old buildings, and "La dolce vita" it is the biz, spent a few days there and loved it.
Casa buonaorotti is a museum of Michelangelo's works, not very big but worth a look if you can. If you have loads of time then the Uffizi Gallery is fantastic, but you have to really be into art!

Been there many moons ago in the Spring for the fashion shows with Iranians - got arrested, long story. Great place when there aren;'t lots of tourists. Great culture and night spots and places t eat - Smallish city like Amsterdam that you can wander about on foot and find what takes your fancy. Lots of beautiful people that make English folk so mousey.
