Hi all, just a quick line to introduce myself. The names Tim and I aquired a red 98 Firestorm on Saturday. As with most things, it wasn`t planned but I ended up doing a swap with a lad for a Suzuki I was selling Insured it this morning and then straight out for a good blast. Well, I`ve got a few bikes in the toybox but what a complete contrast this bike is to anything else I own. Came back with a grin from ear to ear ( with a slight look of surprise after the fuel light came on after 85 miles of "brisk" progress )

The bike is a little cosmetically challenged but nothing a couple of indicators and a bit of spit and polish won`t fix. On the plus side, the front forks have been resprung, a full set of PFM 6 pot calipers, discs and hoses are fitted to the front end and a remote reservoir WP shock takes care of the rear.

Will try to sort out a couple of pics and get them posted.

Firstly, welcome to the team....great fun arent they ?

Bike looks a good starting point and those are serious brakes for a storm, might overpower even an uprated front end. But with the brakes, forks and shock done, those are the 3 things that hamper the stock bike (oh and the headlight ) then all you need to do is fix the CCT and have fun.

Winter is when you can start the tidy up.
