my mt350 broke down today around 5 pm i just got in at 2 am :(
cam belt broke exactly half way from work or home
so i went home got a new cambelt spare i had and returned to fix the bike did same procedure
as previous but the b8stard thing wont start
the exhaust feels like she is sucking more than blowing when i turn her over
im tired and got the butt now ...

the cams are idiot proof they cant be bashed by the piston so squaddies can fix em
im praying its a timing issue of some kind not a permanent break

good thing is you are learning everything you need to know on motorcycle mechanics on this bike, and it still comes back for more.

bad thing is you had to walk home.

good luck getting it fixed, if you need to borrow some matches let me know :D

lol i didnt walk the 9.8 miles home and it turns out the guide to sorting the cambelt is not right for my bike for some reason
i manually felt where the right place for the cams was ie the least resistance and i put the belt back on and she works like a treat
she even responds to the choke she never did before
meaning now she cuts of when cold without it...
but feels like she pulls better and runs smoother lol
she is atm running around two cam/pulley teeth behind recommended settings
