Exhaust baffles

Post by denisblackvtr »

Morning everyone, hope you are all well. Sorry hane'nt been on for a while but been having some personal probs. Anyway yet again i need some help and advice from the wise ones. I've bought some viper race cans for my bike which are very loud to say the least, so i was wondering if anyone has any experience and or advice as to wether a baffle/db killer will work? If so which one would people advise using. Thanks in advance, Den. :confused

I have vipers on mine, and I think there is a guy that makes them off ebay for a tenner each I think, it has been a while.

all you have to do is drill a hole in the bottom can to screww the baffle in place.

I just fitted some Viper "road" cans. I ran them with baffle in and it was just a bit quiter than my debaffled stock cans, I didnt yet try them with them out.

they have bolt in baffles which are about 4" long and just fit with a screw into the outlet pipe. with the baffle out they are straight through, so I assume same as race pipe.

If you want I will photograph the baffle so you can look on e-bay for similar

Photo graph and inside diameter measurement would be great Ali
I'm thinking mine could do with a slight toning down too. It might be great for letting folks know I'm coming but there are times when I want to go off and be a bit stealthier :D

the notes say that you can fit these to race can if you diill a clearance hole in the outlet pipe

Will measure and photo when I get home

Those are what are in mine, a little quieter, when fitted, need to use a little gungum around edge, passes noise testing at trackdays  , seem to lose a little topend when fitted though

The outlet pipe on the can measures 49.7mm inner diam, and the baffle outer diam is under 48mm.

The baffle looks just like the e bay pictures but here are some crap phone images of mine

Will those fit into a set of the old style Scorpion cans. Will need to get a set of verniers to measure the inside diameter. As a starter what is the outside diameter of the baffle??

Baffle OD is 48mm, says these will fit any pipes with an angled exit pipe. If you have straight outlet, you need one of the other baffles on e-bay
