carbon wrapped forks

hi guys had my forks uprated and carbon wrapped by one of the guys off another forum, best of all it was free he wouldn't accept a penny. i think it goes better with the matt black mudguard

well spotted.........is there any one in the UK who hasnt got a red elastic band somewhere between the road and the front door?

I maybe be over cautious, but carbon fibre and aluminium don't particuly like each other. It's the same as putting stainless steel and aluminium together, they really need to have something inert between them. But is does look good !!

i think its a carbon vinyl m8, but quite a thick one.

yeh looks very tidy & will withstand the salt & stonechips better than any paint.

Thanks Benny, i'm thinking about having the frame done over winter, but keep thinking it might be too much

Alec, I did notice that they were done as a matching pair, which imho makes a big difference to how they look

are those actual firestorm forks though
just looking at the single pinch bolt on the right side and none on the left....
mine has 2 pinch bolts each side.... the ones that pinch the spindle...
oh yeh sorry... just noticed the rad lol.... what bike is it?
