Newbie VTR Rider

Post by kiwi_vtr »

Hello All,

This 40 year old but going on 20 has just bought a late 97 VTR......and loves it !!.
It is not standard, but has been tweaked and tuned by its previous owner, but still remains oh so rideable.

At this rate I may even start going to Disco's again !!.

Welcome onboard Mr Kiwi_VTR

They say life begins at 40, i'll confirm that when I get there! Not long now.

You'll find this forum really useful if you have any problems or advice etc,

Why Kiwi_VTR? Surely we emigrate to NZ not the other way around....

Cheers

I think a big afro wig would look cool. You get all these stupid stick on ears and horns for your helmet nowadays, why not big stick-on afro wig. I might be tempted by one of them. :confused (i know that means confused but it looked a bit like curly hair to me)

Life Begins at 40

Well I am a Kiwi living in the UK (Dont ask, it envolves a sordid tale of speed), and so kiwi_vtr seems okay.
The only problem with flairs is that they get caught in chains and as they dont make a "shaft drive" VTR, I will have to sacrfice the flairs.
Who needs a crash helmet when sporting an afro !!!!!

Should we address the question of platform soled shoes fouling on the footpegs? Riders in the 70's must have been a hardy lot. 8)
