hi to everyone on this great forum , i recently purchased a 98 firestorm and was amazed to find this forum with all the really helpful friendly people, im just getting used to the firestom after having a fazer 600 for about 6 months ,after getting back in to biking after a 30 year break, passed my test all those years ago on a bsa bantam ah the memorys
anyway folks ,hopefully will get lots of advice and help about firestorm in future ,getting used to sound of engine cracking and popping ,brilliant sounding bike

LOL,Hi Hueje/ big butt (sorry will write your name down before I post next time) Welcome to the Forum/nut house. Sounds like you're about the same era as me. Could take your Test as I did @ 16yrs. I also ride a 98 storm (Fast RED). :biggrin What's your location?

have a read thru the workshop section if you need answers to any mechanical questions, and when you get a chance post some pictures of you bike, so we can have a good look................ :thumbup:

welcome to the club...........passing your test on a Bantam! clearly you are much older than me [not!, but I like to deny it!]......does it count that I raced against bantams when I was racing my MZ single, and I now go trials riding with blokes on Bantam engined specials!

hello again folks ,thanks for the welcome, im in edinburgh ,scotland, great biking roads,
as i said in my first post, i passed my test in the 70,s on a bsa bantam, when i was a telegram delivery chappie ,long before e/mail lol

1-suzuki GT185
2- Honda Cb 400/4
3- honda cx500
30 year gap married kids etc
2010 -fazer 600
now the firestorm

Hehe the GT185 is the era of the X7 :D :D Know those days well. What stopped you going for the yamy lc's?? They were the dogs B's back then

You have gone and made me go all nostalgic. Passed my test in 1980 on an RS125DX. Couldn't afford the RD's here in Ireland back then. :(

WOW that's taking me back, I too took my bike test on a BSA Bantam when I was 17yrs old :plainsmile I also owned a Honda 400/4, but I didn't have a 30yr break, just a Suzuki GS1000 for 20yrs :lol:
