Main jet sizes ?

Post by seantopbloke »

Ok, my question is this,

why are the main jet sizes different between front & rear carbs yet when i ftted the Dynojet kit i fitted an equal sized pair of jets ?
:?
Its the sound of thunder at the back end that makes me smile at the front end !

I was told it was because the rear cyl gets hotter, so run it a bit richer

what filter & cans?

k&n & unbaffled cans, 180 / 182 - 182 / 185
thats keihin jet sizes btw not dj - you can get them off ebay 1.99 each
best to shim the std needles as well rather than use the dj needles.
m4 brass washers from b&q, few £ a pack

i had bmc in mine & was running 200 / 205 mains with 50 pilots = 70 - 90 miles to the light

pilot jet part numbers are here somewhere if you search with my name.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
