nice to see some local people about, ill get some pics up as soon as i can, its red (fastest colour), has high level art cans with no baffles (love the sound) just had manual cct fittied to front cylinder, done 22000 ish, just had a major service too with everything changed. i really didnt expect it to be as fast as it is, im not sure if its been tuned or not but it really pulls hard!
im not sure who the local expert is but if someone who has knowlege of these could have a qiuck look over it for me id be very gratefull and give them beer money/petrol money :)

So there you go, another question answered by folks on this forum.
There ARE people on here from the Ipswich area.

And Hi!

(even though I'm not from Ipswich).

But I went to Norwich once.....

And I've been to Greenwich loads of times.

And seen the Wich's of Eastwick.

And ate a steak, while thinking of a burnt Wich, while I was at it.

What was the question again?
Oh, and get your CCT's done.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

yep my bike was the red one parked at orwells, was nice to meet you and have a chat!
in regards to cam chain tensioners, the front one has been changed to a manual one already, is it worth changing the rear also? wheres the best place to get this done?
also looking for some cut down oval cans for my bike, or someone who would be willing to chop down mine for me? (id pay them of course)
nice of people to give advice and help on here, seems like a proper friendly forum!
cheers

In most cases it's the front one that goes more frequently but it's not unheard of for the rear to go. Luckily it's the easiest of the two to fit.

If you get the tensioner (local lad Bazza or Mark Krieger in the US will probably do them individually), loosen up the inspection hex bolts on the alternator cover before hand and have a warm garage then I can pop up to lend a hand using the guide in the workshop knowledgebase http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=31 (done two bikes without any problems). If you don't have access to a snug garage and If you're not using it over winter then we can do it when the spring when the weather's warmer.
