today was a good day, while it has been a year since my bike accident, my body is struggling to recover, but i'm determind to ride again and for the last 6 months my bike has been rebuilt and its given me the determination to exercise and to get fit again (i wasn't that fit in the first place mind you)
today i was at my mates workshop where the bikes being worked on, when i visited i took my lid with me to see if i could have a little ride. although i was sore swinging my leg over the bike, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, so after a little warming up, i was off round the trading estate (i have to be carefull, no plates no mot etc etc) still the temptation was to great and after 5 minutes around the estate i had the biggest smile on my face.
the bike rides great with the blade front end and new hagon rear shock. not to mention the sound of the titanium exhaust on overrun.....hahaha
after all the pyhsio and medication i've taken and i'm still taking, it turns out the best thing is to ride a bike.
i'm looking forward to next year when i'm going to ride as much as possible, i'm even hoping to do a european trip towards the end of next year, recovery permitting.............

I know that feeling( new metal hip) , managed to swing my leg over the missus hornet and take it for a blast. Mind you must have looked daft having to lay over the tank and clocks to get my leg over. I was thinking at the time dont doe this, but being off a bike for over a year makes you wanna again.
Got my storm back now , but not to sure yet due to the lower riding position.

you made me laugh describing how you must have looked climbing on the bike, because thats how i had to do it aswell....
funny thing is once on the move i felt comfortable even with the very high harris rearsets that i've fitted, i suppose it would be a different story over a 50 mile journey tho.
it's good to hear your on the mend as well fella, people that have never ridden a motorbike just don't understand the feeling and desire they evoke within us, everyone should try it even if its just the once, imagine if there were more bikes on the road than cars....
i doubt i will tax/mot and insure the bike over winter, i'm a big softy where cold and wet weather riding is concerned, but who knows with my bike sitting in the garden all shhiny and blue, i might just have to go and buy a new set of thermals(the last set were cut off me on the road side by the paramedics) and on the dry cold days swing my leg over the bike some more.........
thanks for all your comments guy's its nice feeling knowing there are people out there on your side, ride safe everyone

Not sure of sizes but they are very clingy and stretchy
And they stay on as you jump off the wardrobe
