What year did the Firestorm change its screen design?

What year did the Firestorm change its screen design? Mine is a 2001 model (according to the logbook) but when I ordered a screen that was supposed to fit that years model it was nowhere near the right size or shape when it arrived.

Iridium Double Bubble Screen to fit Honda VTR1000 SP1 SP2 RC51 (2000-2007).
Storm is VTR1000
F, You have to watch out also for breakers advertising SP1/2 parts as Firestorm and vice versa, and selling parts, that come of goodness knows what, for the Storm i.e. speedo cables, clutch cables etc.

for future reference you need to see the following.
honda vtr1000f firestorm (sc36) 1997/2005
in the usa vtr1000f superhawk or 996 superhawk
if i'm wrong i'm sure i will be corrected.

I've been advised to avoid airblade ones as they're weak. Is that right?

i've heard the same, i like the fabbri style but they ain't cheap......
