Charging Systems
Re: Charging Systems
Yes, it is.
It might explain why the six-terminal rr (from a Yamaha R1) I have fitted to my Storm with only five connections to it seems to leak a little current to ground overnight.
The sixth terminal (I always wondered what it was for) is the ignition sense line, which compensates for poor connection/extra resistance losses.
Can anyone of the electrical chappies cast any light on how this missing link is best connected, as it looks like you just need to run a line from the spare terminal on the Yam RR to a switched live from the ignition switch.
Am I right?

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
