Hi all, recently got a cheap _{yellow vtr off ebay, little rough round the edges, but its my 2nd bike to my modded kettle, no history, 5 owners, showing 33k miles, looks like its been off the road for around 5 years up to last year, 3 shades of yellow lol, came with remus carbon high level cans which sound ace [if a bit loud] motor seems sweet enough and seems to go equally well, got rid of a immaculate cb1000 big one and replaced with the vtr [cant have 2 pretty bikes which i dont want to take in the rain] and the vtr would leave the cb for dead, never had or rode a v twin before, was warned that i may not like it, marmite bike etc etc, i luv it!!!!! great fun, had alot of bikes over the 33years ive been riding, but am now deffo a v twin convert, wish i tried one earlier, will just have to try and behave myself and not pretty it up too much so i will be happy to use it in all weathers, surprised at how comfy the riding position is too, not a hint of wrist ache whilst in town the other day, so im one happy bunny. i have done a bit of reading on here and imagine that i will have to do the cct,s, any advice on what to go for would be appreciated, manual or auto ??? and where to get them from, [any where but honda seems to be the case]

glad you like the vees - there ace imo, will do everything you want without having to wring the nackers off them (though i often do with mine lol!)

oh & yeh... ccts - manual all the way. very straightforward to fit if you follow the guide in the workshop section... theres a few members on here can supply you with a set for not a lot of £ then happy riding.

be sure to get along to some of the meets in the spring / summer - if you think yours is loud, wait til you hear 15+ of them thundering through the welsh valleys & villages lol

yep i think your right, loads of bang and loads of grins, cant belive how cheap vtrs are going for, even low milage low owner pretty ones, so can anyone point me in the direction of the guys on here who are producing the ccts, or should i ask in another section?
will try on post a pic up of my flying bannana as i call it
