Interesting to see the Suzuki is also a cheap bike. Wonder what the main differences are ( ok, I know it's not a Honda ). I also know someone that absolutely loves his SV.

Changed from Storm to SV and the Suzuki was a better bike all round (sorry folks). Honda's fault for barely updating the Storm. Handling more sorted, sweeter gearbox, modern insrtuments and fuel injection, giving 45mpg. Engine not as sweet as Storm, less rumble, more vibes. I went for the fully faired version, which hides the ugly frame. On a Fazer thou' these days.

Yeah, I wish Honda had updated the VTR. I'm sure it would have been a much better bike than the SV1000's. I guess if you consider the RC51's as an updated VTR you would see what I mean.

Hi, Jamie

Visiting the UK site? What is the world coming to....

You're welcome, though.

Agree re updates to the Storm, but then for ordinary street use the 51's a bit harsh and track-oriented- different animal, really.
For rainy-day commutes something a bit softer is probably better.

I've considered dropping the SV's front end onto a Storm- I know some have done it before.
That, cans, filter, DJ or Factory Pro jet kit and a couple of hours dyno time gets you pretty close.

But a Storm can be made to work, and anyway, the best game, surely, is to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, not just buy a silk purse, otherwise we'd all of just have the latest model Blade, Aprilia or BMW.

(for Storm read Superhawk  )

Agree with everything so far but one can pickup an RSV mille with the Suzi motor for about 1800 now

huh? Must be a one-off...... Apes came with Rotax engines (60-degree Vee, as opposed to 90 on Honda and Suz)
