newbie to the forum (and the firestorm)

Post by pete1781 »

Hi everyone,
So thought id say hi, all to oen i join a forum and just lurk in the background so thought id better make myself known :)

My names Pete im 30 and live in Andover in Hampshire and on Sunday i picked up my new ( to me ) firestorm, i currently also have my previous bike, an '88 cbr600 which will be leaving my possession as soon as i can find someone to part with their pennies :) Anyway my storm is a '97 in yellow with 27k on it and i paid just over a grand, it needs a little cosmetic tidying but seems mechanically sound, it was a blind ebay purchase and seems to have paid off.

So that's a little about me and my bike, ill stick a photo on later when im not so late for work:)

Thanks in advance for the forum and alle help you all are gonna give me (im an asker, lol)

Cheers

Pete. :)

welcome aboard pete, good to see a few more southerners join the forum
i had a cbr600 95plate, back towards the end of the nineties, a very good bike until i stacked it
any problems with the bike, just post in the workshop section, there are some very knowledgable people on this forum, but be warned theres some weird senses of humor aswell, and a little bit of piss taking.
have fun with the bike pete, but make sure you check the cct's, if they oem honda items get them changed for manual ones, it's one of the bike weaknesses......
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Welcome to the team, ask any questions and we will see if we can help, otherwise have a look at the CCT and regulator then ride it and enjoy.

Hi Pete,

I'm in Gosport, so not too far away - do the Loomies, Portsdown Hill, Alton Caff, Bury Hill, Rykers runs etc - when the weathers warm and dry - fairweather biker and it'll stay that way!

Welcome to the forum - I've been a bit quiet of late, lots going on in my life - but shout me if you need local(ish) help - I'm no 'Storm expert - but mechanically savvy...

Welcome aboard mate. The torque and sound of the Vtr is addictive. I bought my YELLOW one on impulse, now I'm glad I did, I recon its one of motorcycling's best kept secrets :D
