Newbie
Hi guys,
I've been visiting the forum for a while but haven't registered till now.
Haven't got a Firestorm yet, to be fair I've only been looking for a month or so. Trying to restrain myself from going out and buying the first one I see. It's not like I'm going to be out much on it in minus temperatures!
I've had 2 strokes, a Thundercat which I had for 4 years and most recently a XT600 for commuting to work. All sold last year to fund a house. Just managed to save up to get another bike and my minds been set on a storm for a while now.
I will put a post in the Sale/Want section and see if anyone has a nice storm to sell me!
Cheers, Duncan
*edit, can't seem to post a new topic in the sale/want section?

Yeh I've seen that blue one but I really want a black one. Preferably with a bottom fairing and some tasty cans.lloydiecbr wrote:hello and welcome

And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Re: Newbie
I suppose a wise choice would either be to buy a good clean low mileage one with CCT's already done and a later reg/rec fitted, alternatively buy a cheap one and get it up to spec yourself.
Depends on budget, of course, and mechanical ability/aptitude, but also whether you can bothered- for example I'm perfectly capable of working on cars, but I choose not to- I just stick them into the local garage and let them get the aching back.
Once you've decided what you want your bike to end up like, it's easier to know where to start from....
Just one small caution- if you want your Storm to go, stop and handle like an SP1, just buy an sp1 to start with
And welcome

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

However therein lies the fun of owning a Storm, surely.Just one small caution- if you want your Storm to go, stop and handle like an SP1, just buy an sp1 to start with
