i switched to aa bike insurance mate cos i got sick of admin nobheads who know balls all.
£330 tpft is a bit excessive for a storm imo.
i think maybe you should have a look on tesco & asda bike insurance comparison - (asda is cheaper ;) )
aa werent the cheapest but are by far the better customer services.
your information is entered into their database probably by an uneducated fool who made a simple typo.
ive had 2 similar things recently with insurers.
one sent a letter to my works claiming id run in the back of a blue rover in aylesbury when i'd clearly been in manchester all that day... they were adamant it was me although they gave a different name and disregarded the fact that my van is signwritten.
some tit had written the reg number down wrong yet they were prepared to go to court with it.
couldve easily got me sacked.
and then the other week i got my life insurance revoked and cancelled after some illiterate jerk accidently ticked Y instead of N in the 'do i use class A drugs' box!
they sent a new questionaire and demanded a medical and drugs test lol... then went oh, sorry, its our fault, we'll start your policy again.... like fok you will says i... ive been paying into it for 7 years and i want my money back.
if you're so incompetent now, what will happen if i ever need to make a claim. (not that it will matter cos i'll be dead, but you get my meaning...

i put value down at 1500 quid, used for going to work also, 26 years, 1 year NCB, total excess 350 quid
on-line its 330 quid, on phone 350 quid
managed to sort it and got it on-line, but in the email some of my details are incorrect so going to have to ring the people again.

Just out of interest if you do have a SP30 how long does it last for 3 or 4 years and once its over that time is it automatically removed on their system or do you have to phone and pay to have it removed, just courious ?
Had silly quotes when I tried to insure my storm TPF&F the other bike cough silly amount to insure might have to sorn it lol.

when you get your renewal notice ring them and ask for a revised renewal quote if your sp30 has expired. i always ring up and tell them i have got a much cheaper quote elsewhere. the whole process is a load of baldrocks i nearly always get money off just by saying i have a better quote, true or not. not very scientific!
