I'm joining the local village cricket club this year and as a bowler I don't really use a bat much!!

But kit is in short supply so....
Has anyone got a right handed full sized (SH or LH) bat they no longer want/need/use?
Cheap as possible please!

I have got a right handed bat, I think she is about full size she should be she is 22, but i dont think she would appreciate being packaged up and sent to you, plus i would have to do the cooking and cleaning myself then, i think its best i hold on to her for now

If your club hasn't got a spare one in their kitbag then my club might have a scraggly spare one - Our kit bag manager is always finding odds & sods left-over after every game, I'll ask (we start nets in a fortnight)
If you do turn your hand to batting then I recommend Warsop Stebbings
http://www.handmadebats.co.uk/ as a lovely willow - £100 -140 will get you a decent blade.
PS Bats are ambidextrous - it's the pads that are lh & rh.

Good luck in your search, sorry I can't help you,, but
This does remined me of a summer ride-out one year...came across this little village, cricket green in the middle with a nice pub across the road and a river running behind it.
Sun was out, cricket on the pitch and a beer in hand. What a fantastic way to pass a couple of hours whilst out on the bikes..

Not that i encourage drinking and riding mind..

Lad at work plays professionally for a Blackburn team i think (might be Blackburn i dont really listen to his cricket talk i just take the piss and call him cricket fingers when he drops stuff)
I'm sure he will have some kit I could blag, I will ask him tonight if he has any spare or old kit about he's just moved house so might have stuff stashed
