Mornin' all - enter the newbie

Hi all. Just a quick hi as I've joined the forum.

I've had VTR's for nearly 2 years and really enjoy them, they suit my riding style. First was a 03 that a non-indicating van allowed me to park into its side. Now I'm on a standard 99 and I find it more leant over and faster, also more inefficient. Worth the minimal expense difference though. My wife (pillion) and I are going on a bit of a ride from Surrey to Spain in a couple of months and will be keeping an eye on this forum for hints and tips on set-up - both luggage and mechanic. Not much of a spanner monkey and I don't get to talk to other riders much, so I will really listen if anyone has 2 pence worth of suggestions on the subject.

Looking forward to using and contributing to this forum as it looks like an amazing resource.

Be well everyone.

Tim

Greetings

There's a few recent threads on the subject of long distance touring on the Storm as Image is going to do a charity ride

Make sure your CCTs and R/R are replaced with recommended alternatives so you you can enjoy a reliable & worry free ride down and up to the sunshine.
