rattle vibration
ben out for a blast today remember im new to this bike and riding but when i crank her up gaetting to 5-7000rpm feels like a rattly vibration is that just the v twin had her fully serviced not long ago and shes got manual cct,s any idea guys?
Re: rattle vibration
Might just be something loose; go over the bike and check everything's still tightly bolted on.
Stuff like rear footrest bracket comes undone every so often.
If it's only in top it's the carb slides rattling.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: rattle vibration
is there a torque setting or some way of knowing the manual cct's are at the proper tension?
Re: rattle vibration
Definitely nowhere near a torque setting, easy way to check is to loosen each one while the engine's running and tighten it half a turn; if the noise disappears that what it was.
If not, loosen them again, same amounts.

mine has different cams in it and the first ride with them fitted, the first thing i noticed was the GRRRRRRRRRR over 7k when they hit the sweet spot...
any heavy vibration though, first thing to check is the chain & cogs ;)
