Youre welcome matey. Would rather do cct change than revalve a head.cliveyandrews wrote:Spill the beans, what mod?vtwin goody wrote:big midrange change with your other little mod,
The mod was just i had a few spare long stacks so fitted them to the two bikes as they dont work on mine with my cams

Do it Clive, I put one in mine last summer and there is a definite midrange bulge (Ooh Err).

What's the downside? I'm assuming Mr Honda fitted one short one for a reason, so I'm wondering what that might beKev L wrote:Do it Clive, I put one in mine last summer and there is a definite midrange bulge (Ooh Err).

Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Re: benny hedges
It's meant to cap the top end a little, however mine does'nt spend a lot of time at the top end but I do enjoy the accelaration.

Re: benny hedges
on a stock engine, assuming you usually ride it around the 4-7k rpm torquey band, you will definately notice an improvement with 2 long intake stacks.... tried and tested by several forum members and another 2 happy chappys last weekendKev L wrote:It's meant to cap the top end a little, however mine does'nt spend a lot of time at the top end but I do enjoy the accelaration.

the other lad got quick throttle mod, 15t front sprocket and the long stacks.
he's er... grinning lol

on mine it runs better with 2 short stacks, most probably cos i have different cams which have made the engine very rev happy & it spends most of the time around the red line lol
unfortunately for you kidda i dont have any more spare long stacks.
dont think so anyway - plenty of short ones lol.
you can pick a set up from ebay for a fiver or a complete airbox isnt too much.
