Just out of interest, does anybody ever wonder what their misses/life partner/animal of choice would do if they found out how much money you were spending on your bike? lol

I've just done a quick tot up of recent purchases and it isn't pretty viewing lol

I honestly think being hung, drawn and quartered or the pineapple treatment would be a better option than what my misses would do to me if she found out

well, I'm at the other end of the spectrum. With a joint account she does the finances, so all my bike spending is a dream as there is no way to get away with anything. Mind you, the best bit of getting separated will be freedom to spend and lavish attention on the bike without having to look over my shoulder

Having a house and a kid is bad enough, but a joint account where she can see exactly how much money I earn and how much I waste...I mean invest in my bike?! I reckon that's a step too far lol

Next thing ya know people will be talking about marriage?!?!?

The trick is to spread it out over a longer time, then she wont notice the impact on the joint account.......I figure I have spent the value of my bike in extras over the years, but I tell her they are all 2nd hand so I saved money...........its the same tactics that she uses when she comes back from the sales, so we end up at a truce at that point.

also when you sell things on e-bay and you build up a few hundred quid in your paypal account, she never sees that so you can spend that without fear

thing is most of the stuff I get is via ebay so Its in her name and I have to ask hers because it gose on her card ,She now has a spread sheet and adds up whats mine and what ive bought each month

Wait till I order fancy rearsets nearly £400 she will go bonkers

If my mrs found my paypal receipt folder and added it all up from the last 5 years I would be sleeping in the shed for a long long time

Mrs Boz hasn't got the nerve to moan about it.....not with the amount of dosh she spends on shoes
70 pairs and counting. She calls them her "wearing shoes" and "looking shoes" (ones she can't wear coz the heel is too high).
So, I carry on spending and as with all us Stormers, the biggest bill is at Shell, Esso, Texaco etc etc etc

We're on a tight budget in the Pinky household. I dont spend anything unless I need to. The latest cut back is the mrs asking me whats the point of riding to Ryka's from Portsmouth only to head down to Hastings and it would save money and petrol meeting my friends at Hastings rather than at Rykas as planned and riding down together.

But then mrs Pinky does not understand why we ride bikes.

Plus no doubt her bike would end up being better than mine, and then I'd be really pissed!!
