Hello everyone,

This is my first post.
I bought a black firestorm last year from a great bloke in Brighton. My mate (CBR1000) with van came with me and, one look said; big de-grease and polish etc. she'll be good.
Much elbow grease later, followed by new oil's etc and off I go for a quick ride. 50 miles later and "addiction" the 2nd gear torque braking was fun.
Bear in mind iv'e not been on the road for 10yrs but you all know the grunt feeling of these machines, so i'm WELLLLL..... APPY. :
I want to make this one special with, single race seat, new forks (blade front end maybe) single stumpy, and all that, and would be gratefull for any comments/help.

Welcome to the club mate. Have a search through the previous posts to find all the info you can wish for. Most of the stuff you can think of has been done or attempted before with varying degrees of success. Enjoy the bike.

your bike sounds like its going to be interesting indeed.
the options for the storm are almost endless, it just depends how much your willing to spend. or how much blood sweat and tears your willing to put into it.
you are the latest in a long line of people that see a firestorm as a cheap reliable user friendly sportsbike that is ripe for modifying....
just remember to start a thread in the pimp section, post lots of pictures because we are well nosey innit yeh get me geezer
