Have a look at the Dunlop SportSmart.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

while were on the subject of tyres im changing the front to a continental sport attack and road attack on the rear but i have loads left on the current bt020 rear.
my question is is it ok to run two diferent tyre brands e.g conti sport on the front and bt020 rear (until the rear is replaced with a conti road) :?:

Thanks!

(pm me how to do that, would you?)

Anyway, as you can see the sportmax is called a sportsmart by Dunlop and fits as shown in the range.
I like them, and they last really well, great wet grip and good dry grip, too.
Fast warm-up.

I don't need any more than they offer.

Oh, and they run with lower pressures for track days without feeling like you're riding through syrup.
But lower pressures on the road loses a bit of feel at the front, and you need to modify your front fork settings if you're doing this, by the way.

I found your photobuckt account - clicked the thumbnail which brings up the bigger sized pic and nabbed the jpg code or img tagged jpg for the larger image. I think you were copying just the code for the ickle thumbnail preview.

Yep that's what I pretty much done. But to grab the full size image I removed part of the URL to go back through the folders.
As the URL stands

Code: Select all

http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt250/VTaRse/th_Untitled.jpg?t=1336403334
I removed the

Code: Select all

th_Untitled.jpg?t=1336403334
from the end to go back a level to the main album. Note I left the forward slash

How it works Tony is that each / forward slash is a folder on the server, so when there's no way on the page supplied to go back you can do it manually. So in the original URL I removed the thumbnail pic

Code: Select all

th_Untitled.jpg?t=1336403334
and went back to the album

Code: Select all

VTaRse
. It's best to leave the forward slash at the end unless it's a file and not a folder. Ie. it ends in a file format, .jpg .html for example.

Have fun

thanks for that gents. qualifiers are available at about 160 a pair and the sportmax are about 240 so bearing in mind im not exactly casey stoner and there is a recession on i may go for the qualifiers.
they get reasonable reviews..

Sounds like a good choice. Got to have some touring capabilities in there. £160 is cheap for two new tyres. A pair of Brigestone BT023's on my Fazer cost me over £200. And that was over 6 months ago
