can scrapes
I know some of you lot were getting a bit carried away with your pollishing creams, but whats the best gear for getting scratches and general marks of cans before polishing them up? have tried the dremmil with the normal poish cream but not man enough..

I take it you are talking about stainless steel exhausts. When you say you have tried a dremmel that's with a polishing bit I hope.
For surface scratches marks, I recently discovered that Bar Keepers Friend is pretty good. It's quite abrasive and is good as an initial rub down with a bit of elbow grease and then I used Brasso which still cuts in, but less abrasive and is great for removing tar, chain lube. These worked very well on my Titanium cans and on my stainless Microns. To give a final polish over I find WD40 works great.
Hope this helps.

Re: can scrapes
If the scratches are deep the only way will be like i did with my fork lowers, fine metal file then start at 8- wet n dry and work your way up till you get to something in the region of 2000, then you can start using metal polish. I use meguiars NXT all metal polish for the final stage.
