Have you got any decent part's to sell that ebay isn't already flooded with?

Wheels with discs will sell, callipers will, fairings if good condition, Good after market exhausts - these have slumped in re-sale recently mind, indicators, gear leaver, a 19ltr tank will see a good return for you as they are very rare, DB screen

other than that you will struggle to shift other parts unless you have after-market upgrades like Shocks and Forks and HRC parts,

from a private seller i would expect to pay 300 quid for a decent engine too, other bits will sell, but will take a while to go

if your patient it'll sell mate, is this yours?

in regards to breaking your bike, you will probably get more, as seb said, a good engine is worth a fair bit, wheels and tyres are worth over £100, if the bodywork is good you'll get over £200.
seat £25, subframe £30, headlight £30
single seat cowl £30+ depending on colour
forks and yokes £100
discs £50
calipers £50
main frame £100 if its hpi clear and in v good condition
carbs £50
exhaust( not cans) £50
rearsets/footrests £50 for the pair
clip ons/switchgear £40 for the pair
rads £30 each
clocks £30 (worth more the lower the mileage...lol)
has the bike got any add ons, such as undertray/hugger/after market exhausts/db screen/any carbon or pro bolt goodies
all the prices i've suggested are not including postage.
some things will sell well, where as original bellypans, exhausts and swingarms hardly sell at all.
its a lot of work tho.
good luck mate....

I think you need to approach your sale the other way round. You WANT £1250 and it didn’t sell, why not start an auction at £99 and just let it ‘fly’, with the proviso that you can pull the ad at any time? This seems to be the way it goes these days. People will bid and hopefully one or two genuine people will be unable to pass up a bargain.

Anyway it’s just a thought on what seems to be the norm. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I kept my storm when I recently bought another bike because it was worth more to me than the current market value, but you guys keep breaking them and mine will go up in three or four years, so please, knock yourselves out with those spanners and break away.

I think someone already said it, but you could do with better photos, including some close ups to show how clean the engine and pipes are.

Get your big camera out and take the bike somewhere nicer than the horse yard
