Hi Guys,

Decided to take a bit of a break from the SuperHawk forum, so I ended up here.
Some of you might recognize thew screen name as I am the one that wrote the carb set up thread on there.
So if you have any questions about that feel free to ask away.

For the quick run down, I bought my VTR back on 9\97 and have been tinkering with it for just a while now.
Once i figure out how to post pics on this board I'll throw a couple up..... what fun to be a newbie again.

So about the bike, it is a '98 with only minor engine work at this time, had to get the chassis where I wanted it first.
So at this time it just has a seat of ported heads, A bit of work to the stock header, 4* advancer (which is coming out this week as my HRC box is showing up) of course tweaked carbs.

For the chassis, it has a full RC51 SP2 front end with Ohlins internals, braces swingarm with an Ohlins shock. 10mm ride height spacer. Gillis rear sets. I still have to do a bit of frame bracing but that will come when I have the engine out.

I'm sure there are a few more bits but sometimes you can forget all the little stuff that has been done..... it's hell getting old.

I guess that is enough for now.

Ride safe guys.

Cheers,
Mike

Will look forward to seeing the pics mate.

I'm just delving into the realms of tinkering with the carbs myself. Still seem a bit daunting at the mo with regards to putting different jets in, but looking forward to opening them up!

Good to have you onboard Mike and to see some decent pics of your Storm  or is that hawk

You will find the forum interface very user friendly in comparison to the superhawk site. Imageshack is OK if you resize your own pics before uploading otherwise it tends to hog bandwidth and load pics very slowly. I personally prefer photobucket as it resizes them for you on the fly. I believe there are a lot more image link options as well.

I have read many threads on carbs including yours, and I must say I find it all very interesting and enjoy stripping them down and tinkering. And I would like to thank you for what you have taught me with regards to the HRC set up. Do I dare mention the word K&N

Have fun

Welcome its always good to see more knowledgeable people on the site, Tony and the rest of the gang will enjoy having someone else to bounce ideas off....no not literally before any one gets a wise crack in! lol

:Ball Kick:

What's the deal with the US site? it doesn't seem very active these day's?
