Hi-level Exhaust Spacers?
Hi-level Exhaust Spacers?
Hi guys i recently got some secona hand hi-level links and the hanging strap brackets for a guys but he didn't have the spacers to bring the rear foot rests of in front of the links anyone got the dimensions for them and the sizes of the bolts so i can get some made up and buy in some longer bolts so my beloved don't burn her boots on the links, failing that anyone got some spare ones they wish to sell on.
thanks as always gissmo

Just don't take her out on it :-) its a win win situation :-)
Re: Hi-level Exhaust Spacers?
It's a good proposal but unfortunately not a option I like her on the back and she provides necessary ballast lol

also interested in this as mine have been done by former owner but look shocking so would like to see what other people have done to keep rear pegs with high levels.

Mine have been machined from solid, and match the contours perfectly. A dear solution, but they look great!

you got any detailed pics sounds like a good solution might be able to sneak them in as work lolcliveyandrews wrote:Mine have been machined from solid, and match the contours perfectly. A dear solution, but they look great!

If you can sneak them in as work then do two sets and I will have a set for a small fee lol

I'll have a look in my photo albums, if not - I'll take some at the weekend...john ps13 wrote:you got any detailed pics sounds like a good solution might be able to sneak them in as work lolcliveyandrews wrote:Mine have been machined from solid, and match the contours perfectly. I've got this pic, doesn't really show, but the spacers follow the contour of the hanger - as if they were extruded. They look really neat...

Very nice job that Clive, much better than straight tube spacers. :thumbup

Re: Hi-level Exhaust Spacers?
They do look good but at the moment I would be happy with bits of tube to be able to fit mine lol

Re: Hi-level Exhaust Spacers?
It's not just looks, I would have thought clive's solution is a lot more solid as it eliminates some of the stress that would be on the tube style fittings. If ones not carrying a pillion too often or just wants the rear pegs for looks then then IMO the tubes would be fine. But with the weight of a pillion getting on and off there is a lot of stress on very long bolts with little thread going into the frame.

Re: Hi-level Exhaust Spacers?
my intention was and is to not have tubes but to have a solid block of ally have it machined like clives or just have a block of it with two holes to space them out to start with just so i can have to pillion and maintain some of the strength, my only problem at this moment is that i dont know what width the spacers should be so that i can get the correct size bolts and correct width of ally.

Re: Hi-level Exhaust Spacers?
I have the tube spacers on mine and haven't had any issue with passengers using the footrests. Do you still need the sizes fella? I'll go out and measure them now if you want?
