went back to work this afternoon , 20 mins in rain and spray could feel my waterproofs failing ,not a good look when taken them off , can anyone recommend some decent trousers that wont break the bank

I always keep a pair of Gortex ex old bill overtrouser under my seat. Check out the Ex Police stuff or Army surplus if you don't mind a bit of camo.

Something like this you can roll up to go under the seat and when needed throw over your leathers.
