How cool is this...

At work today, I sell internal engine parts for all sorts of things and we cover old brit bikes.
Get a phone call late this afternoon and some bloke in a Lancashire accent is asking for piston rings. So I say no problem I'll just have a look in a catalogue.
Turns out we don't have any so I say we can do it buy size, and he says oh I only need the oil rings anyway. No probs I say, £11 each I'll pop them in the post, whats your name and address........
Guy...
And your second name?

I said, the Guy Martin? He says I'm only a truck mechanic but yes I'm that Guy Martin!
Bloody hell!!!!!
Anyway chatted for a little bit and hes a really nice guy, no pun intended.
Pretty cool eh

That is pretty cool,I like guy he always seems so relaxed even on the start grid of the tt he was out to enjoy it

That is way cool, I would love to get into a conversation with Guy. And the fact that he is slightly bonkers is even better. We have a few things in common.
Nothing wrong with Frank either, No what I mean.

he switched on our little town/viallge lights a few years back and was brilliant, although the years of being punched had taken its toll, he had all the time in the world for the kids etc

Agreed, never fails to make me laugh, got his "how britain worked" book to read as i loved the series
the only wombles i seem to get ring me is for PPI Claims lol

It would be nice to see him finally get a win.....
The funny part is I have to translate most of what he says for my fellow 'mericans....well except for the bits I don't understand but who the hell can understand some of the things he says....
