Hi guys,

I was a member on here a few years back when I first got my Storm. However, I didn't log in for a year or so and forgot my password (I think the accounts get deleted after a period of inactivity??) so created a new one.

Below are a few snaps of the bike when I picked her up 2 years ago.







Since then I have taken off the grabrail, changed the indicators to LED one, done a R/R mod, bought a new single seat cowl (wrong colour though due to my error), put a set of FUEL exhausts on (wow what a noise!), smoked rear LED tailight and a grippy rear seat pad for the missus. No recent pics I am afraid but I will endeavor to take some next time I take her out.

One last thing...I am from Newport, South Wales

Saintsman27 that would be along bloody ride haha! I struggle to ride distances of anything over 20 miles - dodgy lower back and knee - might have to search for a bar riser kit....either that or I will chop her in for a chopper

Ahh to be fair Jamie it's been on my mind for a while. A mate of mine has a HD 883 iron. Just a beautiful machine. No good for me though as its A) too small for me and B) the Mrs would kill me for getting a single seat bike (The are discussions about fitting a pillion seat but HD primarily aimed this at solo riding) Possibly might look into getting a Victory. Wouldn't be anytime soon I would like to add I am farrr to skint for a new bike.

I will look into the next Wales meet

On a different note I was up Colchester last week. Got caught with the M25 going up and coming back! Nightmare bit of road.

As I'm sure you may have seen, after trawling through old posts...! There are a couple of options, VFR bars can fit with a couple of mods, later VTR bars have less drop & top yoke conversions for a fully upright riding position are available. None of these mods seem expensive or difficult.

I have to admit, and my friends would kill me... I do like the Victory range. It's all about what makes you smile, sod the critics

Anyone is welcome in for a cuppa if they're nearby and on a storm

Yup been looking at flat bar conversions aswell, however the VFR mod seems to be winning me over. Hmm now to try and persuade the girlfriend to let me have some garage time

Ahh well I was in my van so I don't fit the criteria haha

Welcome to the team, you didn't mention the CCT in your mods so make sure a stopper mod is next on the list.

Then I would reccomendation a flat bar conversion, I did over Christmas after owning the bike for 10 yrs and it is bloody great

Ahh yes you're right. CCT mod has not been done. It is on my to do list no fear of that. Just looking through the guide on here on how to. Looks like I am going to have to book in with the old chap and use his garage - you can't swing a cat in mine plus it would mean I wouldn't get my tools dirty

Still a bit unsure on the handlebar front. Flat bar seems to be out of my budget (which is sweet FA at the moment). Might look at making some custom risers up. Either that or do a cut and shut with my current bars.
