Hi all picked her up last week. Bright yellow (no one can say they didn't see me) she is a 2000 model with 1 previous owner and less than 7000 miles on the clock. Got micron cans on plus the origianal and honda dealer service stamps.
The dealer ship have said they have done the cct but after reading lots on here about this today I will be out to have a good look at it later!
Will try to sort some pics soon too. Next investment will be dark screen to replace the original.
As title this is my first V twin, previously only ridden a CBR600
Gareth

Welcome to the club Teach. When dealers say the CCT's have been done they normally mean a new set of auto's have been fitted (but check the invoice!). That's a bit like the bloke making you play Russian roulette telling you he has replaced the live round with another live round! Think about doing the stopper mod or fitting manuals to give you peace of mind and the bike a brighter future.
You've joined at rather a sombre time fella as we lost a member yesterday, so don't be surprised if the response is a little subdued.
Good luck with the bike mate.

Sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with the family.
As for mods I have 0 me mechanical ability so will need a garage to do it. (Expensive?)
No receipt for work done just a stamp saying oil, carbs. Cam chain! Why would they replace a bad part with another bad one? Dealer ships never change you should see the recipet for the honda service dated August 06!

Welcome to the forum Teach. Dealers = Stealer's. Honda wont even admit to there being an issue with the CCT's and as far as Honda dealers go, well, they will juts replace with genuine Honda parts.

hi mate , welcome in

if you have manuals they look like a bolt with nut at the engine end where the domed auto original Honda piece would be .
enjoy the bike
