fuel economy

this beast proves an expensive toy to run barely get 95 miles out of tank is this normal or is it my riding is there any thing i can do to make it more fuel efficient or do i just keep having fun trips to the petrol station malc

If its the early 16l tank model,then 95 to 100 miles is normal for the red light. It's not too bad mpg,it's just a small tank

welcome to the forum buddy, i keep saying i'm going to do at least one full tank of fuel whilst riding at fuel efficent speeds to see what mileage i can get from one 16ltr tank, but as yet i have failed....
its far to much fun

Do make sure the bike is upright when you fill it.
Also set the TPS.
Other than that just enjoy it!

If fuel economy was your main concern for two wheels, you should have gone for one of these (courtesy of google search)

Umm!
That's nice. What size sprockets would you recommend? Any must do mods? CCT problems?

You'll wanna go 18/39 or something. That should increase the top speed to just below walking speed

very good Pete on the sprocket question, young Virt I think may have the answer
Re the CCT issue, if my memory serves me well, providing you get an early enough model you'll be alright, as they had push rods, so no cam chain

they may be, but they were more reliable than cam chain tensioners
