New member, currently VTR-less!

Hi all,
Huge fan of VTRs (and big twins in general), sold my beloved Firestorm a long time ago (reg. T4 JPW), wonder if it's still going strong?!? Currently have a Ducati-engined Cagiva Elefant 900, but not a patch on the Honda Vees IMHO.
Also had a beautifully modified SP1 which was stolen, but I still have ownership of the ultimate registration that was on it - V2 VTR. Now sincere apologies if this goes against the admin rules here, but as I can't post in the Sales section yet, I just wanted to give everyone here the opportunity to get first dibs on said registration. It's available for immediate transfer, and obviously I'd like it to go to an enthusiast, hence the post here.
Apologies again if I'm out of line, my intention isn't to take the p, just to make interested parties aware of the availability of a unique VTR accessory!
Reply (or PM?) for more details.
Cheers - Jos

Welcome to the forum. That has got to be one of the coolest plates I have seen for the VTR. You will also fine that you wont be able to send PM's until you reach the required post limit.

Welcome
pm sent regarding the plate. Not sure if you'll be able to read it or you just can't reply?

Welcome in .
As Carl said you wont be able to reply to PM's until you get 50 post under your belt. However I believe you can read those sent to you.
If anyone does PM you they should put an e-mail addy in their post, problem solved.
Nice plate but not for me thanks.

Yes that is correct, you should be able to receive PM's from others with 50 posts or more, but not be able to send any until you reach 50 posts yourself.
A good idea of Mac's to include an email address if you wish to receive a reply from a new member, or a mobile phone number,
Chris.

also worth remembering why we put a 50 post limit in sales and wanted..........there was people who joined to sell items we all wanted and after money was sent the parts didnt always turn up!!!!!.
Not saying fishboy is in anyway dodgy, but when we do deals on here with people we have grown to know, we do relax our gaurd.. so you have to remember to put your gaurd back up and conduct any purchase with a new member the same as you would with any other stranger.

Exactly
Good man for making that clear Al

and mentioning it again. That is the main purpose behind the new 50 posts rule.
Chris.

Hi all!
Thanks for all the responses, didn't expect so much activity so quickly!
As I said in my original post, I'm in a bit of a catch-22 situation as I'd like the plate to go to an enthusiast e.g. you lot, but understandably forums like this need to employ restrictions which limit activity by newbies e.g. me! And if anyone (admin etc) has issues then I'll completely understand, apologise profusely again and be on my way! I think the only proof I could offer to my trustworthiness would be sales feedback on my ebay account - josninety - but I appreciate that even that could be viewed as inconclusive.
As for PMs, yes, I've just discovered the restriction, so alternate contact addresses would be useful. In reply to those I've received, the process for transfer seems to be fairly straightforward. I've not done it before, but I visited my local DVLA office a few weeks back and they explained it and confirmed I was able to transfer the plate to another vehicle. One form to fill in (V317), signed by both parties, accompanied by log book & MoT from vehicle being transferred to.
As to price, the only indication I can give is that is was originally purchased for £1000, so I'd be looking above that figure now.
Thanks again for the interest.
Cheers - Jos

Great plate but out of my price range...
Not sure if the law stills stands but if I'm right you cannot put a newer plate on an older vehicle so would be no good for my R reg anyway.
