Hi, finally got round to taking some photos, it's not clean as it's been ridden on and off all week in some wet/muddy weather :)

Really pleased with it, very light and easy to throw around, it feels like a BMX with an engine  It is the sort of bike you just jump on and off easily and zip around on. It's a KTM 690 Duke for those who don't know what it is. I sold my storm recently as it was giving my bad back a lot of trouble so I wanted something upright, lightweight but still fun to ride with some power so plumped for this.

Very nice! I'm trying to convince my buddy to get one of these, instead of a cbf600. He's got a cb500 at the mo, always complains about back & knee pain. Surprisingly the Cb500 is really uncomfortable!

How do you find it's practicalities?

Well its not for motorways really as no wind protection unless you stick to sensible speeds. It is very easy to ride, handles great and brakes with the abs system are awesome, abs works really well even on gravelly stuff. It has excellent economy - up to 80 mpg apparently, nice quality feel throughout and great instruments that give you lots of information. I have a loud can and decat pipe coming and orderded some Orange KTM crash bars that look the business and protect the engine and plastics. I would say the overwelming feeling is of being able to corner fast - put it this way I have only ridden on it for 100 miles or so and my chicken strips are gone on the rear tyre already because it gives me so much confidence and feeling as to what the bikes doing underneath me. Something that has taken me a long time before with other bikes I have owned - confidence inspiring.

I see you are near me (Debyshire) who are you dealing with? Redline at Loughborough were fantastic to deal with (thats where I bought mine) I bought a new KTM from Leisuretrail and sadly I found there attitude poor so I deal with Redline now.

Hi, I am pretty central in Derby, be up for a ride sometime if you like?

Redline was brilliant to deal with, very helpful and efficient, price was good too. I dealt with Richard. I bought a KTM from AMS about 4 years ago and they were pretty good but they are a long way away in Gloucestershire, Redline are up there with my other two prefered dealers:- Grantham Honda & Pidcocks. Bikes are expensive and it takes a lot to earn the money so am careful who I buy from now.
