SP1 style exhaust angle

Hi there, does anyone know of a company making exhaust link pipes which have a more aggressive angle to point the cans up in the air a bit more?

I can fabricate the hangers to suit.

Or even a company which can fabricate them for a reasonable cost?

Regards

You will hava a few companies making high level links but not upswept like the SP. You would have to get them custom made like Lloydie recently has.

Fantastic, thankyou. Will get some quotes ready for the winter pimp up! I'll see what Lloydie has done also.

Cheers!

Following lyodies suggestion, I have low level link pipes I have just spun round and pulled up. I have since fabricated some proper hangers.

With new hangers, I currently have them at a steeper angle than in these photos.

Thanks for the photos, they look really great! I snapped one of my exhaust clamps the other day trying to close a small gap up, luckily I had a spare, have you seen how much they are from DSS?!

I'm definitely going to get some link pipes made up in the winter, I think it really improves the look of the whole tail section. Although I'm not too keen on the high level look, the link pipes look a bit industrial IMO of course!

I think the W3'S are stainless clamps and the W4'S are stainless clamps and bolts. They also do a W5 which is marine grade stainless but they are really hard to find.

I can't see W3s in the mikalor range.

Supra Heavy-Duty Hose Clamp Stainless Steel W2 > http://www.mikalor.com/data/pdf/pdfingl ... upraw2.pdf
The Supra range is the natural evolution of the Super W1 Clamp. Due to its revolutionary swiveling bridge, Supra W2 can be mounted in the most awkward applications without having to remove the hose. It can be opened up and fastened again when in place without dislodging any other parts of the clamp, making assembly much easier. Thanks to the beveled edges, the hose is protected from damage. The Supra W2 clamp complies fully with the RoHs directive EU 20032/95/EC dated 1st July 2006. The high-strength bolt, designed and manufactured by Mikalor specifically for this clamp, together with the captive nut and spacer system allow you to clamp the most demanding of hose assemblies. This is the clamp of choice for professionals in the industrial hose, automotive and agricultural machinery sectors as well as in all industrial applications where an outstanding and above all reliable heavy-duty clamp is required.

Supra W4 is a full stainless steel clamp, destined for demanding applications where high corrosion resistance is vital. This top of the range heavy-duty clamp is ideal for marine applications and the foodstuffs industry, as well as for countless industrial applications where AISI- 304 stainless steel is specified.

The Supra range is the natural evolution of the Super W1 clamp. Due to its revolutionary swiveling bridge, the Supra W5 clamp can be mounted in the most awkward applications without having to remove the hose. Once mounted, it can be opened up and fastened again without dislodging or losing any of the other components of the clamp, making assembly much easier. Thanks to the beveled edges, the hose is protected from damage. The Supra W5 clamp complies fully with RoHs directive EU 2002/95/EC dated 1st July 2006. The AISI 316 stainless steel bolt together with the captive nut and spacer system allow you to clamp the most demanding of assemblies. Supra W5 is a full stainless steel clamp destined for demanding applications where very high corrosion resistance is vital. This top of the range heavy-duty clamp is ideal for marine a p p l i c a t i o n s , f o o d s t u ff manufacture, pharmaceutical and petro-chemical industries and other applications where AISI 316 stainless steel fittings are required.

W4 clamps will see though many salty British winters. The W2 suffers as bolt and nut rapidly corrodes.

You're a good man, cheers! Maybe with the extra strength these clamps have i might be able to tweak the can angle and bolt them up tight. :)

The ones I received with my cans are no more use than c*ck ring!

Wicky, I didn't know anyone could write so much about variations of exhaust clamp material!

Not necessarily. The key is to get the right size clamp, hence Agent P giving you the size. We have tried various sizes  and believe me if you overtighten them you strip the thread on the bolt and it is then rendered useless.

Ah right, hopefully these will be a better fit and I can nip them up a bit.

The broken clamp failed on the bit that is folded back on its self and is then crimped into the overlapping part, the crimped bit became very un crimped! I was thinking about popping a rivet through to stop the crimp from taking all the strain.
