Firstly thank you too everyone that has helped overthrows last few months with the storm.

So today was the day that I penciled in to pit the bike back together, I was expecting to take most of the day, if not all day. But surprisingly was done fairly quickly 8O :D

This is it almost done, everything went back pretty quickly with very little issues. Putting the back wheel on have me the most problem. I know there is probably an easy way but this is the first time I have ever put a wheel back on

All done and test ridden. Nothing fell off thankfully and the ride is much improved over what it was before. And after about 2 months on the wife's R6 it is quite a different ride all together but so happy to be back on it :D

Really like the black finish and the new rearsets give it a better look

Of all the things I was dreading figuring out putting these buggars on as thought they would of given me quite a headache. But with all the help I have gotten from everyone on here it have me a pretty good understanding of what was needed.

I used the exciting rose joint on the gear linkage bit to connect it to the rod from the gear peddle.
Image

The right hand rearset went on pretty easily and the bigger of the rosé joints I had turns out was for connecting the brake peddle to the MC.

Went for a ride this afternoon and the ride was pretty good in comparison to what it was, not as hard on the bumps and now a little more bouncy

Again thank you to all that helped, I'm sure I will have some teething problems so will most likely be crying out for help again

Now time for a

Well done, I'm sure you got some satisfaction doing it yourself . I find that using copper grease on the threads of nuts and bolts makes things Easier to adjust or slacken. Even oil or chain lube.
Nice looking bike with the gold wheels

Wow it's all looking good. I lost track of everything you have been doing. You've done well, things can be a challenge at first especially when you have seized swingarm linkages. And the best thing of all is the learning curve and feel good factor from doing it yourself. A well deserved

Thanks guys it has been a huge learning curve and really enjoyed it. And yes absolute satisfaction at achieving this :D :D  .

I love the gold wheels but they need redoing as who ever powder coated them before did a crap job. The coating is so thin around the hubs it is coming off when I use the power washer :? . Only down side to the gold is they show up the dirt really easily, they were totally clean before my ride yesterday and after a 35 mile ride they are well dirty  8O

Would love to do the frame the same colour but not sure I am ready to tackle that just yet as that seems like quite a HUGE job to take on.

One thing is for sure if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't of had a chance in hell of succeeding in doing the work, so thanks again everyone :D

They're dan moto clip ons, avoid if you can not the best. Not much clearance on the lower fairing ( has caused scratching ) would love to replace them with some raised ones :D
