Hi,
Years since I had to do as much work on a bike as I have on the Dog. Autosol was always my weapon of choice, but does anyone know anything better for fork lowers, frame, exhaust etc?
Heard good things about Belgom Alu and noticed T-Cut have an Autosol like product out also?
Any help appreciated,
Rog.

CLEANING GUIDE FOR A STORM SHINEY BITS
Now im no expert on this so just my way and it works
STUFF YOU WILL NEED
1-METAL POLISH OF COURSE
2-MICROFIBRE PAD

So what I do and works for me just fine apply a little to the edge of the pad as shown

Then wipe lightly over the entire bit your cleaning

Nice even layer all over

Then i carry on useing it flat and giveing it a good rub all over till much cant be seen.Straight lines up and down is my way if possible
Then I simply just wipe it off with a microfibre cloth maybe two at a push if the polish is black bright.
Leaveing you with a mucky pad

And one clean can

Then I hit stage two sealent

THIS SEAL AND MAKES STUFF BEAD
So wipe on with a clean microfibre pad
Tiny bit goes a long way

Then leave at least 15 minutes

Then just wipe off when its gone to a haze

It adds protection and removes any residue from metal polish aswell
Or belgom alu then belgom chromes or just chromes or just alu see what works best and use that

Re: Best Metal Polish?
Great advise guys.
I find it really depends what it is you want to polish and at what level you wish to achieve.
Stainless
Alloy
Remove milling marks
Remove sand casting marks.
All take a different approach.
But in brief....
80 grade grit to 600 grade using WD40 as a lubricant for deeper sctratchs and milling/casting imperfections.
Josco sisal wheel and fast cut compound @ 3500 rpm.
Josco lose leaf wheel with fine polish @ 3500rpm
Then Autosol or Purple Polish for a final wipe over.
Results depend on your level of OCD!
