Indicator options with High levels

Post by leevtr »

I'm going to raise my high levels even further than they come as designed, but the indi's have to be changed. I really dont like those cheapo nasty mini indicators, so if anyone has or knows of a quality and tasteful option........ Cheers

I've got to overcome the same issue as you Lee, but I have gone for smaller (but good quality) led indicators, which are far brighter and visible from the side.

With the smaller indi's there are more options, i'm thinking of mounting them at the bottom of the numberplate, underneath the cans.

Same here, it's real problem unless you go with the silly looking mini things.

The only other option is to use cat eye style indicators placed in the tail fairing itself. The best solution I can come up with is to use a tail tidy that allows one to mount indicators below the can outlet, then there are loads of options including the originals.

Maybe something like this mounted behind the plate.

Just add a couple of angled brackets for indicators.

I would drill holes in the fender and mount the stock indicators below the cans. I reckon it could be done quite smartly with the right spacers etc.

I like this, wonder if it would pass an MOT

Strip of LED's with a hole drilled for each LED to poke through.

HI, I used these, you can just about squeeze them in at the side of the number plate on the plasic undertay fender, like yourself I'm not a fan of mini indicators but these look ok

Should pass; they just object to them being integral with the rear light lens- those aren't.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thinking of using flush mounts like these......

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE-BI ... 4acc345a06

...and mounting them over the holes left by the originals. Would need to get a slightly slimmer number plate but that doesnt bother me. Come mot time I'd just sling on the old plate temporarily, obviously lower so as to not block the blinkers, but once a year for 10 mins aint an issue.

Anyone know the width of the rear fender at indicator height ??
