Unplanned bike acrobats... Parts required?!?!

Post by Sharpshooter888 »

Well this is my first post... Good times, but i have totalled my storm... Bad times!! Was cruising down the motorway last wkend i slight wet conditions and hit an oil spot which took me down. I have damaged various parts which i can source from fleabay, but i am struggling to find a right side engine casing(rotor??- the one with oil cap?). Can anyone point me in the right direction to source one and is there anything else i will need to be wary off after this damage??

Thanks in advance my fellow riders....

Thanks, well im no mechanic as you can prob tell from my post, but anything down the right side that sticks out basically haha. Right side fairing, brake foot pedal, foot peg, single right handlebar and brake lever have all disintergrated, as well as the right side engine casing where you put the oil, not too sure of its technical name sorry. Anyone with surplus buts n bobs feel free to pop up(if allowed).

And thanks again for the warm welcome all, as u can imagine its quite daunting piecing the beast back together!!

Just take your time and plan what you need to do. Any problems post up on here or search the workshop section.

Not too sure of the frame damage as she has been parked up and covered since my near death experience! Going to inspect her tomoro and check extent of damage although i think the headstock survived damage around the frame and only the actual mirror fitting snapped. Will post here anything i find and then any knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks for the posts

I can offer a clutch cover and RH clipon for £70 posted. the clutch cover has a slight mark where I used an oversize socket and it made a small mark in the paint, but it isn't noticeable, unless you look for it. Easy to touch in if you're fussed.

But not road rash, scrapes, slide marks etc.

Any use?

Had a good look today, its all the obvious bit really from the RH side. Exhaust bracket, brake foot pedal, rr pillion peg, clipon, clutch casing, brake lever and throttle, mirror and not forgetting the fairing! £70 for the casing and clipon sounds reasonable, is it poss to send me pic? Cheers

Other than the bits you've been offered, I can pretty much supply the rest. Haven't got the fairing though.

Clutch case showing the mark:

It's on the bolt right next to the filler cap.
The rest of the case is clean and unmarked.
